Tropical chickweed

Tropical chickweed is a fast-growing herb producing a large amount of seed per plant (600+) and is able spread vegetatively, rooting nodes. It is a shade tolerant weed found in gardens, agriculture, pasture, disturbed land, roadsides and natural areas. It tolerates a broad range of soil conditions, including seasonal waterlogging. It is reported to be poisonous to cattle.

In one study, it was reported that tropical chickweed is host for a range of spiders (SADOF et al., 2014).
